LAB-71 ammonium salt of glyphosate 71% SG is a systemic, non-selective herbicide used to control a wide range of broadleaf and grassy weeds.
How it works
Systemic action: It is absorbed by the foliage and translocated down to the roots, ensuring complete eradication.
Mode of action : It inhibits the EPSPS enzyme in the shikimate pathway, which is essential for the production of aromatic amino acids in plants.
Result : Without these amino acids, the plant cannot synthesize proteins, which leads to its death.
Key features : Non-selective : It will kill most plants it contacts, so it is used in non-crop areas or before planting.
Effective against many weeds: It controls both annual and perennial weeds, including many difficult-to-control species.
Formulations : Common formulations include 71% SG (soluble granules) and 20% SL (soluble liquid). The ammonium salt formulation offers improved absorption and rainfastness compared to other types.
Application : It is applied to the foliage of actively growing weeds and is most effective when weeds have at least 4 to 8 leaves.
