OXYLAB Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is a selective, contact herbicide used to control a wide range of broadleaf and grassy weeds in various crops, ornamentals, and non-crop areas.
Selective action : It is selective and primarily targets weeds, while remaining safe for crops when used as directed.
Broad spectrum : It controls a wide variety of annual broadleaf weeds and certain grasses, and can suppress some perennial weeds.
Contact and residual action : It provides both immediate (contact) and long-lasting (residual) weed control, creating a barrier on the soil surface to prevent new weeds from emerging.
Mode of action : It inhibits the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase, leading to the creation of harmful substances in the presence of sunlight that damage cell membranes and cause weed death.
Versatile application : It can be applied pre-plant, pre-emergent, and early post-emergent, depending on the crop and weed stage.
Crop-specific use : It is recommended for use in crops such as onion, tea, potato, cumin, groundnut, and direct-seeded rice.
How to use : Pre - emergent application : Apply 0-3 days after sowing to create a chemical barrier on the soil surface.
Post-emergent application : Can be applied up to the 2-3 leaf stage of weeds.
Mixing : Can be tank-mixed with other herbicides for a broader spectrum of control in non-crop areas.
Dosage : Specific dosages vary, but a common rate is 8 ml in 15 liters of water, or 2 ml per liter. Always refer to the product label for precise instructions.
